Apt branding?

Today's entry is about something I spotted while talking to my counsellor last Tuesday: aptly branded objects.

I see a counsellor weekly and it is held in a GP's surgery. Last week I spotted a box of tissues on the desk by my side. I don't really find eye contact easy during counselling, so I tend to spot things around me. Previously, the box of tissues were the standard NHS yellow box, but not last week... The box was branded Viagra! Maybe I am rather dirty-minded, but I found this quite amusing!!!

This led me to think: how could other drug brands be used aptly, using some irony and lateral thinking?

Using the medications I have taken recently:

* zopiclone coffee mugs
* microgynon disposable nappies
* loratadine cat collars

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

(I tried to google a picture of the viagra-branded tissue box, but it seemed to think I meant "erectile tissue"...)

I am still very happy professionally and not too bad personally. I don't know how much I want to talk about me here, but I can proudly say that I am over 22 months sober and it has been over 13 months since I last self harmed. I have also lightened the load I was carrying around physically, having now lost 20 kilos (3.5 stone) since I left the TC.

mirtazepine crash helmet & shin pads (for when the foggy head effect sends you crashing down the stairs)

parvolex sick bowl

reboxetine portable heart monitor (for the palpitations)

fluoxetine razor blades (sorry!)

clozapine tourniquet (for the blood tests)

depakote hair thickening shampoo

that's all i can think of at the moment :o)

How about Salbutamol-branded fag packets...??

Nice to see a post again Cat, I still miss the regular ones but I know you have reasons for not talking "you" on here!

And well done with the weight loss! I keep meaning to lose a few pounds (or stone!) myself, but cannot find the motivation... And a huge well done for the sobriety.

Can't think of any suggestions but it's good to see a post from you on here and I think the Viagra sponsored tissues are hilarious. I actually snorted out loud when I read it!

PS. I know I've said this to you before but well done on the sobriety and weight loss.

Not sure what loratadine is, but the others are great!

I think some kind of anti-depressant branded razor blades would be apt, as would as someone said up there, salbutamol fags!

Ritalin homework diary?
Orlistat crockery?
Amphetamine relaxation tapes?
Hedex Hammers and Drills?
Steri-strip scissors?

I could go on and on!

Loratadine is a near-wonderful anti-histamine, which alleviates the symptoms of allergies such as hayfever and pet allergies.

However, the stuff doesn't even touch my hayfever!

It's clorphenamine maleate (Piriton, the full strength one) for me!!

However, I read today that someone somewhere has developed an injection to "kill off" hayfever... YAY!!!!

For me it would be venlafaxine plugs. Or clomipramine pillows. But nothing beats viagra tissues, nothing.
